My Morning Routine: How I got my life back...

After I have learned that 5:15AM exists, I have finally nailed down my morning routine. This routine has made me a more pleasant person during the day because I have gotten time to do the things I have wanted to do.

I wake up at 5:15AM and I am definitely cranky.

Why are you cranky?! Didn't you go to bed early like your advice told you to? Well, yes. I usually do get sleep. But lately it hasn't been restful. My Daughter is going through the wonderful experience of having tiny, sharp chunks of bone push through her little gums. Yep, she's teething...

Well I have learned that If I am going to commit to getting up at 5:15AM, I actually need to get up. Sit up, rub the crust and leftover makeup from the day before out of my eyes, apply my second set of eyes and go upstairs.

Because I love my husband, I make him breakfast in bed every day! <3

Usually for weekdays he gets cereal and on weekends I will make him an egg, cheese sandwich. After I deliver his breakfast, I will go into the bathroom and transform from a dragon into the woman he married. This means I will undergo, a hot curling wand... poking my eye with a black pencil, adding the lightest shade of skin tone I can find to my face in both liquid and powder form. 15 minutes later, I am me. (Let me know in the comments if you want me to make a video on my morning routine or my daily make up routine!)

Once the face has been assembled I turn on the baby monitor, chug a glass of water (because... hydration), grab a cup of black coffee and maybe a muffin if there is some in the house, kiss my husband goodbye and head upstairs.

Now notice that I did not anything about putting on pants. Yep, I am still in my PJs. When I get upstairs, I will pump a couple bottles for my daughter, enjoy that muffin I mentioned earlier and read my Bible. My goal is to read the whole thing in 1 year. (side note: I started December 25, 2016 - July 9, 2017... Got pregnant, was sicker than a dog and only watched tv for 38 weeks and 6 days when I didn't have my head in the garbage... opened my bible back up on July 3, 2018... So it's pretty close to where I left off!) Then I will work on my Bullet Journal and look at my chores for the day as well as my clients list.

As a Freelance Graphic Designer, I need to be able to keep track of my clients and hours worked for them. I will spend the remaining time (along with nap time later) working for the clients. Once 8:30AM - 9:00AM roll around, I will wake up my daughter, make my bed, put on pants and her and I will go for a lovely walk in the park near my house.

after that, it's picking up the house, sweep the floor, wash/fold laundry, run the dishwasher and play with Mira until daddy gets home. Once he is home, he plays with Mira and I can relax until dinner time.
